IPBL 2019

Ladies and gentlemen,

Faculty of Fine Arts Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin and the Open Art Workshop in Lublin Association have the honour to invite you to participate in the 4th International Poster Biennale Lublin 2019.

Posters can be submitted in 4 categories. The first of these, category A, is intended for those who are interested in or involved in poster art. Category B is dedicated for those who are currently studying or graduating in 2018.

In categories A and B, posters can raise any subject. However, these must be works that were created after June 30, 2017. Please do not submit works that have been awarded in other competitions (Grand Prix prizes, 1st and 3rd place). In two thematic categories, everyone mentioned above can submit their works.

Category C is called "Clean air". We want posters to show the benefits of a clean environment.

Category D is a competition for a poster commemorating the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin read more

The jury will award the most outstanding posters with prizes. In the student category, there will be, among others, prizes funded by the Rector of UMCS in Lublin prof. Dr. hab. Stanisław Michałowski, Dean of the Faculty of Arts of UMCS dr hab. Krzysztof Szymanowicz, awards funded by the rectors and deans of art schools and honorary distinctions. In the category of professionals, the Gold Medal, the Silver Medal and the Bronze Medal, as well as honorary distinctions, will be awarded.

We will soon inform you about the prizes in the other categories. 

As in the previous editions, a catalogue presenting all the works qualified for the exhibition will be released. This publication will be provided free of charge to prize-winning and distinguished people. The opening of the exhibition will take place on May 31, 2019. The presentation of works of  The 4th MBPL will be held in the Center for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, the Faculty of Arts of UMCS, and 2 other exhibition spaces in Lublin.

A detailed schedule of exhibitions will be given soon.

After our experience with the organization of three previous editions of the biennial and other poster competitions, we decided to conduct the jury's deliberations through electronic voting. All submitted posters will be evaluated by a team of international jurors using the online application.

All works qualified for the exhibition will be printed by the organizer.

The list of people qualified for the exhibition will be announced on poster.co.pl websites and on private user accounts on artunity.eu

All the awarded participants will be notified by e-mail.

Please send your work in 100 x 70 cm format, 180 dpi resolution, RGB mode. The maximum file weight is 15 MB.
